Melon Appletini
INGREDIENTS
For the Cocktail:
2 oz of Iceberg Vodka
1 oz of apple juice
1 1/2 oz of melon juice
1/4 oz of lemon juice
1/4 oz of cinnamon simple syrup
For the Melon Juice:
One honeydew melon
1 cup of water
2 tbsp white sugar
For the Cinnamon Syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup of white sugar
2 Cinnamon sticks
DIRECTIONS
For the Cocktail:
In the cocktail shaker, add all ingredients
Fill with ice and shake hard for 8 seconds
Double strain cocktail, using hawthorne and fine strainer, into cocktail glass
Garnish with honeydew melon ball on pick on rim of glass
For the Melon Juice:
Scrape flesh from honeydew melon quarters into a blender; add ice cubes, water, and sugar. Blend until smooth and sugar has dissolved. Serve immediately
For the Cinnamon Syrup:
Add the sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks into a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the mixture comes to a simmer
Remove from heat. Allow to sit for 5 minutes
Strain the syrup. Keep, tightly sealed and refrigerated, for up to 2 weeks
