MELON APPLETINI

INGREDIENTS

For the Cocktail:

  • 2 oz of Iceberg Vodka

  • 1 oz of apple juice

  • 1 1/2 oz of melon juice

  • 1/4 oz of lemon juice

  • 1/4 oz of cinnamon simple syrup


For the Melon Juice:

  • One honeydew melon

  • 1 cup of water

  • 2 tbsp white sugar


For the Cinnamon Syrup:

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup of white sugar

  • 2 Cinnamon sticks

DIRECTIONS

For the Cocktail:

  1. In the cocktail shaker, add all ingredients

  2. Fill with ice and shake hard for 8 seconds

  3. Double strain cocktail, using hawthorne and fine strainer, into cocktail glass

  4. Garnish with honeydew melon ball on pick on rim of glass


For the Melon Juice:

  1. Scrape flesh from honeydew melon quarters into a blender; add ice cubes, water, and sugar. Blend until smooth and sugar has dissolved. Serve immediately


For the Cinnamon Syrup:

  1. Add the sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks into a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the mixture comes to a simmer

  2. Remove from heat. Allow to sit for 5 minutes

  3. Strain the syrup. Keep, tightly sealed and refrigerated, for up to 2 weeks
